NYC art map and recs, 9/16/25 - 9/21/25
Hi folks! We survived the busiest two art weeks of the year — yay! There are 480 exhibitions currently open, the vast majority of which opened over the past two weeks. I did a good downtown art crawl in the Lower East Side on Saturday, and am catching my breath a bit after finally finishing the big gallery geography shifts post I’ve been working on pulling together info for over the past few weeks. I got through a lot of Lower East Side shows this past Saturday, and realized I need to take on the daunting task of re-drawing my routes since so many galleries in that are have moved, closed, or opened.
There's an intriguing looking event “I Feel Like Seth Price in 2012” taking place at Earth (49 Orchard Street) from Wednesday - Sunday featuring readings, screenings, and stuff for sale, that certainly feels like a dog whistle to a certain subset of post-internet art people. Price is having a bit of a moment between this and his recent show at 15 Orient over the summer!
